Murphy

Mar 01

Well the good wheather has put a little spring in Murphy’s step…in fact he has been bouncing and hopping around like crazy…he seems to be feeling so much better.

Except…the vet took his drain tubes out last week and now the incision is OPENING UP YET AGAIN !!!! Are you kidding me..the vet was totally shocked when he was told. He said the same thing happened to another dog many years ago and the out come wasnt good. It seems like it’s the part right on the shoulder bone..I don’t know what to think at this point.

We are just desperately wanting this to heal..! By the way today he is wearing a Bart Simpson shirt.

Hoping for the best..

    Geez Murphy! What the heck?!

Let me suggest that you post this under “Ask A Vet” in the forums for more input. I also wouldn’t hesitate to get a second opinion. What is this Vet’s plan of action? Has he had you bring Murphy in yet for some type of coverage, wrapping…something? Does he suggest trying to keep Murphy more on the quiet side so he doesn’t make the hole bigger?

I’m sure other Surgeons have had to deal with this on occasion.

In the meantime, it’s wonderful that Murphy is getting all his sparkle back! I knlw that has lifted everyone’s spirits!

I know you’re frustrated, but unexpected hurdles do happen during this crazy recovery time. If you aren’t comfortable with this vet, or if he isn’t giving you a plan of action immediately, then please go for another opinion.

I think we need to see a picture of Murphy in his Bart Simpson shirt! Definitely! He should also have his very own Superman shirt! He’s earned it…and so have you!!

Hang in there! This will get cleared up!

    Love and hugs!

OH dang! I’m so sorry! “EAT MY SHORTS, BAD INCISION!”

Seriously. If this is not healing, please please get another opinion. I second Sally’s advice. Keep us posted oK? We’re hoping for a good week ahead. Give him a smooch from us.
